A live scoreboard for teams, branches and reps
A scoreboard makes a target visible, and that changes how people work towards it. This page ranks teams or people by score, with a bar for each and a running total. Send a new score and the order shifts on every open screen, so it can run on the hall TV or the office wall.
When to use it
- A quiz night or school sports day needs scores everyone can see.
- Three branches are competing in a fundraising month.
- A sales team wants a friendly race to the end of the quarter.
- A gym or club is running a season-long challenge.
What a good one includes
- A short name for each team, which has to be readable from the back of a room.
- A target, if you want progress as well as rank.
- An end date that tells everyone when it finishes.
- A note per team for colour, like 'bake sale Saturday'.
- One line on what it's for, or what the prize is.
Make one by saying what you need
Text it, type it or say it, the way you'd tell a colleague:
Scoreboard for the Riverside Primary house points: Red 120, Blue 145, Green 98, Yellow 130, ends Friday.
Questions
How do I show it on a TV?
Open the page's link in the TV's browser, or from a laptop connected to it. It updates by itself once it's open.
Can it count points rather than money?
Yes. Set the unit to count, and it shows plain numbers.
Should I rank individual staff publicly?
Think first. Friendly team races usually land well, but naming low performers can do harm, and workplace rules may apply.
