A live goal tracker for fundraising and targets

A visible goal gives people a reason to join in. It shows the total so far, a bar towards the target, a deadline and dated updates, all of which change live on any open screen. Add gift amounts and, with Stripe connected, it takes donations too. It can also count things other than money.

When to use it

• A scout group is raising money for a new hall roof.
• A school wants a screen in reception tracking its sponsored read.
• A crew is working towards volunteer hours or trees planted.
• A club wants to show members where the kit fund stands, with no spreadsheets.

What a good one includes

• A clear target and the reason for it.
• A real figure for what's been raised, including offline money.
• A deadline, if there is one, which gives people a reason to act now.
• Dated updates, as proof that the project's alive and the money's being used.
• A named organiser in the footer.
• One or two gift amounts with labels saying what they buy.

Make one by saying what you need

Text it, type it or say it, the way you'd tell a colleague:

Goal tracker for Millbrook Scouts: new canoe fund, goal $8,000, raised $2,350, deadline June 30, gift buttons at $20 and $50.

Questions

Can I track something other than money?

Yes. Choose count as the unit, and it works for hours, trees, books or anything else you can add up.

Do people need to refresh the page?

No. When you change the data, every open page updates by itself, so it can sit on a screen in a hall.

Can people give tax-deductible donations here?

That depends on your organisation's status and where you are, and this page doesn't decide it. Check before promising it.
